Tour overview
This Mayan encounter starts with a historical journey to the 1,500 year-old ancestral city of Coba, an archaeological site hidden deep within the rainforest of the southeastern Yucatan Peninsula. Enjoy a two-hour guided tour, including a visit to Mayan temples and the legendary ball court. Climb the Nohoch Mul Temple (the tallest pyramid in the Yucatan), and witness the vast beauty of the surrounding tropical rainforests. Experience how the Mayans lived in their natural world, and join locals on a walk through the rainforest, discovering fascinating tropical plants and exotic animals. Ride the zip-line, soaring over an incredibly beautiful cenote and rappelling down into the clear, blue water of another cenote. Canoe or kayak across a dazzling lagoon, or take a refreshing swim.
Tour itinerary
- Pick-up between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
- Arrival at Coba, 9:30 a.m.
- Departure to Mayan village, 11:30 a.m.
- Arrival at Mayan village, 12:00 p.m.
- Zip lines, rappel, canoe or kayak, jungle walk
- Authentic lunch prepared by local Mayan women
- Return to hotel between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
