Vacation Itinerary

  • Day 1. Arrival at Cancun International Airport

Upon arrival at Cancun International Airport, you will be picked up by an official multilingual guide who will escort you to the hotel. Once there, relax and enjoy the evening, refreshing yourself after the flight.

Stay overnight at Laguna Suites Golf + Spa hotel.

  • Day 2. Tulum – Coba

An official multilingual guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and escort you on the tour. You will drive directly to Tulum, the only Mayan city located on the coast of the Caribbean Sea. Afterwards, explore the archaeological site of Coba, admiring structures such as The Castle, with its mural paintings of mythological scenes.

Then drive to Merida, nicknamed the White City for its colonial influence, and stay overnight at the Holiday Inn.

  • Day 3. Hacienda Sotuta de Peon, Merida

After breakfast, drive to Merida and tour Hacienda Sotuta de Peon, a working hacienda where sisal (agave plant fiber) is still produced with machinery and techniques dating back to the late 19th century. Receive a welcome drink and learn about the process of obtaining this strong fiber. Then visit a replica of an authentic, ancient Mayan house and a cenote to enjoy its refreshing water. Afterwards, see the Sotuta State House and experience the extravagant lifestyle that the hacendado (estate owner) once lived.

Then return to Merida to stay overnight at the Holiday Inn.

  • Day 4. Merida City Tour, Uxmal Light & Sound, Merida

At 9:40 a.m., enjoy a two-hour tour through the enchanting city of Merida, once the Mayan city of T’hó. Founded in 1542 by Spaniard Francisco de Manteo, conquerors renamed it to honor the city of Merida in Spain. Visit the Cathedral of San Ildefonso, built on the huge stones of old Mayan pyramids. Nicknamed the White City for its colonial appearance, Merida is one the most tranquil cities in Mexico. Its Mayan roots, superb colonial monuments, and its turn of 19th century architecture have made Merida a captivating blend of cultural influences.

After the Merida city tour, enjoy lunch at the hotel.

Then drive to Uxmal for its mesmerizing light & sound show. Considered one of the best in the world, this show is a visual spectacle of colorful lights and engaging effects that unveil Mayan history at one of its most significant archaeological sites.

Afterwards, return to the Holiday Inn in Merida for another night.

  • Day 5. Celestun

After breakfast, at 9:00 a.m., depart for the beautiful beaches and magical wetlands of Celestun. There are many activities available. Explore the internationally protected wetlands of Celestun, observing the unique wildlife that inhabits the region, such as bright pink flamingos or relax for the day on a peaceful, white sand beach under the tropical sun.

In the evening, return to the Merida Holiday Inn.

  • Day 6. Chichen-Itza, Yucatan

After breakfast, visit the ancient Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza. Chichen Itza (which means “at the mouth of the well of the Itza”) was at its height between 800 AD and 1200 AD as the center of political, religious, and military power for the Mayan civilization and southeast Mesoamerica. Observe the gradual merging of structural styles from Puuc to Toltec, as the change of power occurred between opposing factions of the Mayan empire.

Chichen Itza was recently designated one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. This archaeological site is recognized for its spectacular architecture, such as the Kukulkan Pyramid (also called El Castillo). Discover and learn about the many remarkable structures of this mystical ancient city; The Observatory, Temple of the Warriors, Hall of a Thousand Columns, and the Great Ball Court, to name a few.

Then, have a delightful lunch nearby. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy. Stay overnight at the Mayaland Hotel & Bungalows in Chichen Itza.

  • Day 7. Chichen-Itza, Yucatan – Cancun

Take a free day to enjoy the Mayaland Hotel & Bungalows grounds on the Chichen Itza archaeological site, and breathtaking views of the Mayan ruins surrounded by beautiful tropical plants.

Later that afternoon, depart from the hotel to the all inclusive Ocean Spa Hotel in Cancun, and stay at this delightful resort for a few days.

  • Day 15. Departure

You ‘ll be picked up at Ocean Spa Hotel and driven to Cancun International Airport for your return flight home.

We hope you enjoyed your vacation so much that you’ll return again soon.
